Cicerone Scholarship

  • Are you a Certified Beer Sever (Cicerone Level 1) and wish to advance to Certified Cicerone (Cicerone Level 2)?
  • Are you a woman involved in the beer industry in any capacity?
  • Do you have a passion for the local craft beer scene?
  • Do you want to use that passion to get into or advance in your career?

The Certified Cicerone certification has become the benchmark of beer knowledge and expertise. Certified Cicerones carry with them a vast knowledge of tasting, styles, pairing and brewing alike. To further our support of women involved in the beer world, we have created a scholarship program to help assist in the financial aspect of this certification.

The Certified Cicerone exam allows individuals to quickly demonstrate that they possess a professional body of knowledge and essential tasting skills related to beer. Those who pass earn the right to use the title “Certified Cicerone®” and display the logo on their card and correspondence. They also get listed in our certification directory where anyone can verify their status. Certified Cicerones enjoy enhanced respect and prestige that can help improve their business success and career prospects.

We invite all WNY and Southern Ontario women who are interested in the Certified Cicerone certification to help them advance in their industry careers to apply for this scholarship. Our board members will assist in a three step application process in selecting one candidate to receive our fourth annual scholarship.
